Applies to
Sherweb partners who resell Microsoft products and services.
Overview
To comply with Microsoft Partner of Record (PoR) validation requirements and support applicable incentive and revenue recognition processes, you must ensure that the correct Microsoft Partner ID is associated with your Sherweb account.
To resell Microsoft solutions via the Cloud Solution Program (CSP), you must meet Microsoft requirements to retain eligibility.
See this guide for more information: Microsoft Indirect Reseller Eligibility Requirements
Requirements
1. Confirm that the regions match
Confirm that your Sherweb account and Microsoft Associated Partner ID are registered in the same region. Supported regions include Canada, the United States, the European Union, and the United Kingdom.
CSP indirect resellers must complete Microsoft's validation process for each region in which they intend to operate.
To verify the region associated with the ID, go to Microsoft Partner Center Identifiers, and then select CSP.
The location displayed in Microsoft Partner Center must match the region, and currency associated with your Sherweb partner account.
2. Verify your partner and reseller status
Your Microsoft partner and reseller verification statuses must both be Authorized and Active.
To verify these statuses, go to Microsoft Partner Center Legal Info, and then complete the following steps:
Open the Partner tab and confirm that the status is Authorized and Active.
Review the profile information and confirm that no warnings are displayed.
Open the Reseller tab and confirm that the status is also Authorized and Active.
If a status is shown as Rejected, Partner Center should display the reason for the rejection. A Fix now button should also be available so that you can submit the documentation required to complete the validation process.
A common reason for a disabled status is that the TTM revenue or MFA requirements have not been met.
For more information on those requirements, see this Microsoft article: Microsoft Indirect Reseller Eligibility Requirements
For more information on the verification process, see this Microsoft article: Verification process in Partner Center
3. Verify that the required Microsoft agreements have been accepted
The required partner agreements must be accepted in Microsoft Partner Center.
To verify your agreements, go to Microsoft Partner Center Agreements.
Confirm that the following agreements are shown as accepted:
Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program Agreement
Microsoft Partner Agreement (CSP)
In this example, required agreements are highlighted in red.
Agreements without an acceptance date may still be in preview and unavailable for acceptance; these are highlighted in purple.
The CSP onboarding anniversary date is highlighted in green.
4. Verify that your Associated Partner ID is a Partner Location ID
The Associated Partner ID in Microsoft Partner Center must be set to your Partner Location ID, not your Partner Global ID.
To verify this requirement, go to Microsoft Partner Center Identifiers.
Select Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program.
Confirm that at least one Partner Global ID and one Partner Location ID are displayed.
In this example, the Partner Global ID is highlighted in red, the Partner Location ID is highlighted in green, and the associated region is highlighted in purple.Select CSP. Confirm that the Associated Partner ID matches the Partner Location ID identified in the previous page.
If the Associated Partner ID is set to the Partner Global ID, it must be updated to the appropriate Partner Location ID.
How to Validate or Add Your Microsoft Partner ID in the Sherweb Partner Portal
Sign in to the Sherweb Partner Portal.
Go to the Partner Profile tab.

If the Microsoft PLA ID is missing or does not match: Update the Microsoft PLA ID in the Sherweb Partner Portal using the Associated Partner ID displayed in Microsoft Partner Center.
Troubleshooting
The Sherweb Partner Portal rejects the Associated Partner ID
If the Sherweb Partner Portal rejects the Associated Partner ID, verify the following:
The Associated Partner ID and Sherweb account are registered in the same region.
The Microsoft partner and reseller statuses are both Authorized.
For detailed instructions, refer to Confirm that the regions match and Verify your partner and reseller status under Requirements earlier in this article.
