How to point MX records to Sherweb

Synopsis

Prerequisite

You must have a Sherweb hosted Exchange account

How to

Note: You should only point your MX records to Sherweb if all your users are using Sherweb. If you have 40 or more users with us, you should seriously consider moving your MX records to us to avoid email reception slowdowns.

1. Log in to the Control Panel.

2. Take note of the MX values in the Organization Administrator Information section.

3. Log into your DNS Control Panel and enter the MX records you found in step 2.

4. Each of the the two MX records should have a TTL of 3600, or 1 hour.

5. Each of the MX records should have a preference or priority of 10.

Note: If you do not know who is hosting your DNS, please go to http://www.whois.sc/ and enter your domain name. The CNAME entries point to your DNS host.
