How to activate Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) on SharePoint sites (SharePoint 2013)
A SSL certificate is installed on a SharePoint site for extra security. It carries an extra yearly fee but encrypts the communication in its entirety.
You must have a Sherweb hosted SharePoint 2013 site
You must be the account owner
1) Get an SSL certificate.
(See https://www.sherweb.com/web-hosting/ssl-certificates/ for more information.)
2) Our support department will contact you shortly afterward to assist with the setup process.
