Situation

You are trying to complete a task in the Dropsuite platform where you are asked to enter an Archive ID, and need to know how to find this information.

Methods to Find an Archive ID

Below you will find all of the methods to find an Archive ID within the Dropsuite platform. An Archive ID is a unique identifier to be able to identify emails within the Dropsuite platform.


View Emails Page

  1. On the backup dashboard, select a user you need to find an archive ID for one of their emails.
  2. In the view emails page underneath the subject of an email you will see the "ID: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX". If you are unable to see the ID, hover over the line and you will be able to see the entire ID.


  1. In the compliance menu on the left hand side, select "eDiscovery".
  2. Navigate to the "Saved Search" tab, and select the saved search containing the email you need the archive ID for.
  3. In the list of emails from the search you will be able to see the archive ID under each subject line.


  1. On the backup dashboard, select the advanced search tab.
  2. Create an advanced search with criteria to find the email you need the archive ID for and select "Search".
  3. As it is possible the archive ID will not be shown under the subject line if there is too long of information, hover over the line where you will then be able to see the archive ID.


Within an Individual Email

  1. On the backup dashboard, select a user you need to find an archive ID for one of their emails.
  2. Select the email you need to get the archive ID for.
  3. Within an email the Archive ID will be shown at the top in the email details.


Audit Logs

  1. In the compliance menu on the left hand side, select "Audit Log".
  2. Create a search where you can find the email with the search criteria and then select "Search".
  3. The archive ID will be shown under the "Object Name" section.
