Performance Cloud VMware (NSX-T) - Unsupported Scenarios
Here is a list of features & scenarios that are currently not supported with Performance Cloud VMware (NSX-T).
- Raw Device Mapping (RDM) or LUN Passthrough to directly connect to the SAN
- Shared Volumes / Shared Disks
- Port span / Port mirror *
- Promiscuous mode
- Backup of named disks
- GPU-accelerated virtual machines (or vGPU)
- Create a VM snapshot when a named disk is attached
- Create snapshots or add RAM to virtual machines when all disk storage is used (per the quota-based design)
- Reverse incremental backup and forever forward incremental backup methods
- Use a Fully Qualified Domain Name ("FQDN") in Site-to-Site VPN tunnel configuration (using the Edge Gateway**)
- Applications with more than one (1) port cannot be used for NAT configuration (using the Edge Gateway**)
- Have more than ten (10) network cards connected to virtual machines
- Backup of Always On Availability Groups based on SQL Server Failover Cluster Instances
