Create a Veeam management agent in the Veeam Service Provider Console (VSPC) with Sherweb

 

Description

To deploy management agents on machines with Veeam products, you must create get the management agent setup file.

Requirements

  • Only users with the one of the following roles assigned can proceed with this procedure: Service Provider Global Administrator, Service Provider Administrator, Service Provider Operator.

Procedure

  1. From the Veeam Service Provider Console (VSPC) portal, go into the Discovery section and click on Download Management Agent. Then, select the destination operating system.

  2. On the next window, select an organization and the proper location (if more than one (1) location is defined) for this management agent. Then, define the token expiration (maximum of five (5) years).

    Note: Management agents installed after the specified period expires will not be able to connect to the console. Management agents that are already connected to console will not be affected by the specified expiration period.

  3. Copy the download link for further installation for the chosen organization and the specified location.

    Note: the download link requires to login to the Veeam Service Provider Console (VSPC).

    or

    Click on Download to download the management agent on your computer.
    The installation file of the management agent can then be deployed to servers at the chosen organization's location.
