Licenses
You are free to choose the licenses that best suit your clients' or organization's needs directly within the Proofpoint console.
Sherweb synchronizes with Proofpoint every 6 hours to detect license changes, new organizations, and updates to existing organizations.
When a new organization is created under a Proofpoint channel account, Sherweb will attempt to match it to an existing organization in the Partner Portal. If no matching organization is found, a new organization will be created automatically.
Usage Reporting
Usage data is synchronized every 6 hours and is displayed in the Partner Portal (Cumulus).
Only active, licensed users are included in billable usage.
The following are not billed:
Shared mailboxes
Aliases
Distribution lists
Inactive users
Invoicing
Proofpoint Essentials billing is based on a monthly usage snapshot.
Sherweb captures a snapshot of the number of active users on each partner's billing date. This user count determines the billable usage for that billing period.
Usage is invoiced in arrears and will appear on the partner's next scheduled monthly invoice.
For example, if a partner's billing date is the 15th of the month, the active user count recorded on the 15th will determine the charges reflected on their invoice.
Trial
It is possible to trial Proofpoint Essentials licenses for a period of 30 days. When in trial, usage will not be billed and will be present on invoices at $0.
When trialing an upgraded SKU while already using a license, usage will be billed as the initial license.
Not For Resale (NFR)
Partners eligible to NFR licenses can use any Proofpoint Essentials license on their channel or strategic partner account in the Proofpoint console. For services consumed from these accounts, the first 50 users will be free of charge. Any users over 50 will be billed at normal rates. NFR usage will be shown on invoices at 0$.
