Sherweb’s Hosted Exchange servers have been successfully upgraded from Exchange 2019 to Microsoft’s latest version: Exchange Server SE 2025.
 

Why was this upgrade necessary?

Microsoft announced that Exchange Server 2019 will reach End of Life on October 14, 2025. To ensure uninterrupted service and continued support for our Hosted Exchange customers, Sherweb proactively upgraded all backend infrastructure to the SE 2025 version.

What does this mean for you as a Sherweb customer?

We are pleased to share that your Hosted Exchange service has been seamlessly upgraded to latest version i.e. Exchange SE. This update was completed automatically and does not affect your current user experience. Everything you’re familiar with will remain unchanged. Your mailbox, features, pricing, and all the tools you rely on will continue to function just as they did before the upgrade. There is no action required on your part.

We did this upgrade to ensure you continue to benefit from the highest level of security, performance, and support as Microsoft evolves its Hosted Exchange platform. 

What about the offer names in Cumulus?

To make things clearer, we have also updated the offer names for Hosted Exchange in our platform. Any previous references to Exchange 2016 or 2019 have been updated. Rest assured, the underlying SKU numbers remain the same, and there are no impacts to your service or billing, other than this visual update to the offer name.

How can I confirm that my Hosted Exchange service has been upgraded to the new Exchange SE version?

You can easily verify that your account is now running on Exchange SE by visiting the “Platform settings” section within your Cumulus.

Will these changes affect my PSA integrations in Cumulus?

No, your PSA integrations in Cumulus will not be impacted by this update. We are only updating the name of the offer, the underlying SKU numbers remain unchanged. As a result, your PSA integrations will continue to work as usual, and there will be no disruption to your service or billing processes.

Are there any similar planned upgrades after Exchange SE?

Microsoft has announced that Hosted Exchange will continue to receive updates via security patches and bug fixes. Sherweb’s team is committed to monitoring Microsoft’s releases closely and will promptly apply any necessary updates to our servers.
