Requirements
A user with the local Administrator permissions must be used to install the management agent on Windows machines.
The Veeam management agent was previously created. If not already created, here is the article to create a Veeam management agent.
The machine on which the Veeam management agent will be installed must have at least two (2) GB of RAM.
To allow the connection of Veeam management agents and Veeam Backup & Replication (VBR) servers to the Veeam Service Provider Console (VSPC), the outbound network traffic to gw.ca.vspc-cloud.com (for the CAN console) and gw.us.vspc-cloud.com (for the US console) on port TCP 6180 must be allowed.
Notes
If you are using an RMM software (Remote Management & Monitoring), you may want to consider leveraging it by automating the deployment of agents. See this article for details: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vac/deployment/silent_install_agent.html?ver=81
Procedure
- Using the download link or the setup file, launch the Veeam management agent setup on servers to manage. Then, click on Next.
- Review license agreements and click on I Accept.
- On the next screen, click on Install
- Once the management agent setup is completed, click on Finish.
The management agents should then appear into the Veeam Service Provider Console (VSPC) within the proper organization & location in the Discovered Computers tab after few minutes.
