Description
To manage an existing Veeam Backup & Replication (VBR) server using the Veeam Service Provider Console (VSPC), a configuration must be made inside the Veeam Backup & Replication (VBR) server. That configuration will also add the Veeam Cloud Connect backup repository to your Veeam Backup & Replication (VBR) server.
Requirements
To allow the connection of Veeam management agents and Veeam Backup & Replication (VBR) servers to the Veeam Service Provider Console (VSPC), the outbound network traffic to gw.ca.vspc-cloud.com (for the CAN console) and gw.us.vspc-cloud.com (for the US console) on port TCP 6180 must be allowed.
All Veeam Backup & Replication (VBR) servers that you manage using Veeam Service Provider Console need a Veeam license. Managing Veeam Backup & Replication Community Edition using the Veeam Service Provider Console (VSPC) is not supported.
Only Veeam Backup & Replication (VBR) v12.x and newer versions are supported.
The Veeam management agent was previously deployed on the destination machine. If not already installed, here is the article about the deployment of the Veeam management agent.
Procedure
Open your Veeam Backup & Replication (VBR) console.
- Go the Backup Infrastructure section and click on Service providers.
Click on “ADD SERVICE PROVIDER”.
Enter the following information and ensure to allow the option to manage the server by the service provider.
Then, click on Next.
DNS name to use: gw.ca.vspc-cloud.com (for the CAN console) or gw.us.vspc-cloud.com (for the US console)
Port: 6180
- On the next screen, add new credentials. Enter the Company Owner credentials (username and password created when creating the organization). Then, click on Next.
Review the Summary configuration for the Service Provider and click on Finish
Then, after few minutes, the Veeam Backup & Replication (VBR) server will appear in the Veeam Service Provider Console (VSPC).
