Synopsis

This guide explains how to view and edit the associations between entities (accounts) that exist on Vendors consoles and your Organizations on the Sherweb portal. 

 

Prerequisites

- You must be assigned permissions that allow you to view organizations.

- You must have an active account for one of the supported Vendors. Refer to this KB for instructions on how to create a Vendor account.  

 

How to

Note: The Keepit Vendor is used as an example throughout this document, the content and features apply to all Vendors listed in the Vendors section of the Sherweb portal

1. Log in to your Sherweb portal account.
2. On the left-hand side menu, select Vendors to see a full list of vendors for which you can see your organization entities.
 

3. On the right-hand slide, select More Info for the vendor you wish to consult organization entities.
 

4. At the top of the screen, select the Mappings tab.

 

 

5. You will see a list of all entities (accounts) that exist under your Partner account(s) for the selected Vendor. Below is a description of the information shown:

 a. Entity Name: Name of the entity (account) on the Vendor's platform.

 b. Status: The current stat of the mapping between the entity and an Organization. Below are the possible values:

   i. Active: The entity is mapped to an Organization

   ii. Inactive: The entity is mapped to an Organization, but is no longer active. The mapping is kept for historical and reconciliation purposes.

   iii. Unmapped: The entity is not mapped to any Organization

 c. Console: Link to access the Vendor's console.

 d. Organization: The name of the Organization to which the entity is mapped.

 e. Partner account: Name of the partner account under which the organization entity has been created on the Vendor console.

 f. Entity ID: Machine identifier of the organization entity on the Vendor console. Can be used to uniquely identify the organization in vendor reports or console.

 g. Actions: List of actions to perform for the entity on the Vendor console. 

 

 

6. Creating a new mapping for an Unmapped Vendor entity is done using the “Add” icon from the “Actions” column. This brings up a drawer in which it is possible to select an existing Organization, or create a new one.

 

7. Modifying an existing mapping is done using the “Edit” icon from the “Actions” column. This brings up a drawer which it is possible to select another existing Organization, or create a new one.
