How to setup 3rd party archiving
Prerequisite
- You must have a 3rd party archiving account with Sherweb.
How to
1) Log into the Control Panel.
2) Click on Manage Services.
3) Check the box next to Archiving and select Third-Party Archiving.
4) Back on the Show Organization page, click on activate it here under the Archiving Statistics section.
5) Choose either With mailbox (6) if you need to provide an email address to the third party provider or With external address (7) if your third party provider has given you an address to forward mail to.
6) Choose With mailbox and an address will be generated on our end that you will need to provide to the third party provider. You will need to provide this address to the third party provider as well as the POP settings required for the setup. The pop settings are found here:
7) Choose With external address and enter the address the third party provider gave you.
8) Once the service is setup you can choose between Dynamic (all users archived) and Static (assign specific users for archiving). See here for further information.
