Roles and permission levels in the Partner Portal
Synopsis
This guide explains the different access roles in the Partner Portal.
Prerequisite
You must be an Account Admininstrator, Billing Manager, Technical manager, Delegated Account Administrator or Subscription Manager in the Partner Portal.
How to
There are four sets of permissions in the Partner Portal, depending on what type of account you have: Partner, Sub Partner, Retail or Advisor.
Partner
Account Admininstrator
- Has access to everything.
Billing Manager
- View but not edit organizations
- View but not edit users
- View but not edit offers
- View and print invoices
- View payments
- Manage credit cards
- View partner account information and partner offer pricing list/cost/SRP/retail price
- Has access to the Billing section (invoicing, change credit card information and print previous invoices)
Delegated Account Administrator
- Gives full access to an Advisor (Account Owner) to manage the retail account based on the referral list of an Advisor by clicking Manage. If the Manage button is not present, the advisor doesn’t have Delegated Account Administrator role enabled for this client.
Technical Manager
- Create/delete/edit/suspend organizations
- Add/remove organization offers
- View/filter event logs
- View but not edit users
- View notifications, offer list and offer retail price
Subscription Manager
- Edit current subscriptions
- View/filter event logs
- View but not edit users
- View notifications
Sub Partner
Account Admininstrator
- Has access to everything (excluding Billing tab for sub-partners)
Technical Manager
- Create/delete/edit/suspend organizations
- Add/remove organization offers
- View/filter event logs
- View but not edit users
- View notifications, offer list and offer retail price
Subscription Manager
- Edit current subscriptions
- View/filter event logs
- View but not edit users
- View notifications
Retail
Account Administrator
- Has access to everything
Billing Manager
- View but not edit users
- View but not edit offers
- View and print invoices
- View payments
- Manage credit cards
- View account information
Technical Manager
- Add/remove offers
- View/filter event logs
- View but not edit users
- View notifications
Subscription Manager
- Edit current subscriptions
- View/filter event logs
- View but not edit users
- View notifications
Advisor
Account Admininstrator
- Has access to everything.
Technical Manager
- For their clients, users with this role can
- Add/remove offers
- View/filter event logs
- View but not edit users
- View notifications, offer list and offer retail price
