How to manage vApp snapshots with Performance Cloud VMware (NSX-T)

Description
By creating a snapshot of a vApp, it creates a snapshot for all the virtual machines in the vApp. After the creation of snapshots, you can revert all virtual machines in the vApp to the most recent snapshot or remove all snapshots.
Procedures
Create a vApp snapshot
- Login to the Performance Cloud VMware portal using your credentials.
- Click on your virtual data center
- Go into the vApps section under Compute and identify the desired vApp from the list. Note that the vApp contains two (2) virtual machines in the example below.
- Click on ACTIONS, then go to Snapshot, then click on Create Snapshot
- Enable optional snapshot settings if desired and click on CREATE.
Snapshots for all virtual machines in the vApp are now creating at once.
Remove a vApp snapshot
- Login to the Performance Cloud VMware portal using your credentials.
- Click on your virtual data center
- Go into the vApps section under Compute and identify the desired vApp from the list. Note that the vApp contains two (2) virtual machines in the example below.
- Click on ACTIONS, then go to Snapshot, then click on Remove Snapshot
- Click on OK to confirm the task.
Snapshots are now removed for all virtual machines in the vApp.
Revert a vApp snapshot
- Login to the Performance Cloud VMware portal using your credentials.
- Click on your virtual data center
- Go into the vApps section under Compute and identify the desired vApp from the list. Note that the vApp contains two (2) virtual machines in the example below.
- Click on ACTIONS, then go to Snapshot, then click on Revert to Snapshot
- Click on OK to confirm the task.
All virtual machines in the vApp are now reverted to the state when taking the snapshot.
