Situation

You are needing to restore or download the contacts, calendar or tasks for a user.


Prerequisites

You will need the following requirements to download or restore:

  • One of the following Dropsuite platform accesses:
    • Full Admin
    • Group Supervisor (Must be for users within the groups you are an admin of)
    • IT Admin
    • User (For their own content only)

Downloading & Restoring

Below will show the two process to Download or Restore contacts, calendars & tasks. Restores and Downloads are both grouped together as the process is similar for both situations.


Backup Dashboard

  1. On the backup dashboard select the "Contact", "Calendar" or "Task" tab depending which you need to restore or download.
  2. Locate the user you need to download or restore from, hover over their user and select one of the two options.
  3. Depending on which option you chose, you will be faced with one of the two below scenarios:
    Option SelectedProcess
    Restore
    1. Once you have select the "Restore" button, in the next window, specify the date range you need to restore the items from, and then select "Start Restore".
    2. On the next window, you will be able to confirm the amount of items, date range, and user. Next, select "Yes, Continue".
    3. On the systems status tab, select "Restores".
    4. Select the tab that corresponds to the restore you just started.
    5. You will then be able to verify the status of the restore.
    Download
    1. Once you have selected the "Download" button in the next window you will verify the user and how many events will be downloaded. Select "Yes, Continue".
    2. Next hover over the system status tab and select "Downloads".
    3. Select the type of download you just created.
    4. Locate the download where you will be given a download button to download the content.


Selected User

  1. On the backup dashboard, select the user you wish to download Contacts, Calendars, or Tasks from.
  2. Depending on which data you wish to restore or download, select the proper tab.
  3. On the next page, select the content you wish to restore or download by selecting the checkbox beside an item or the checkbox for all items.
  4. Next, select "Restore" or "Download".
  5. Depending which option you select, follow one of the below scenarios:
    Option SelectedProcess
    Restore
    1. Once selecting Restore, verify the information and select "Yes, Continue".
    2. On the system status tab select "Restores".
    3. Select the tab that corresponds to the Download you just started.
    4. You will then be able to verify the status of the restore.
    Download
    1. Once you have selected the "Download" option, verify the information and select "Yes, Continue".
    2. Next hover over the system status tab and select "Downloads".
    3. Select the tab that corresponds to the download you just started.
    4. Locate the download where you will be given a download button to download the content.


Important Mentions

Important things to note when restoring or downloading contacts, calendars or tasks.

  • At this moment it is not possible to migrate contacts, calendars or tasks to another user. As an alternative, you can download the data and upload it to another user's account.
