Situation

You or a user is trying to download backed up OneDrive content from Dropsuite.


Prerequisites

These are the requirements to be able to download OneDrive content.

  • One of the following accesses to the Dropsuite platform
    • Full Admin
    • IT Admin
    • User (They only have access to download their own content)
    • Group Supervisor (This will only work if you are downloading content from a user within a group you are an admin of)

Downloading OneDrive Content

This section will explain how to download a user's OneDrive content in two ways. You can download the OneDrive content all from a specific date, or download specific files from the OneDrive backup.


Downloading all items from a specific date

  1. In the backup Dashboard, select the "OneDrive" tab.

  2. Locate the user whos OneDrive you need to download, hover over the user and select the "Download" option.

  3. Next, select the date you would like download from, and then select "Generate Download".

  4. In the next window, you will be given the date you selected, as well as the user the download will be coming from. You can then select "Yes, Continue".

  5. You can then verify the status of the download by going to the "SYSTEM STATUS" tab, and then selecting "Downloads".

  6. On this page, Select the "OneDrive" tab, where you can find your download and select the "Download" option.


Downloading specific OneDrive items

  1. In the backup Dashboard, select the "OneDrive" tab.

  2. Locate the user you wish to download specific files from and select their name.

  3. On the next page, check the box next to the items you wish to download, and then click the "Download" option in the bottom right hand corner.

  4. You will then be given the option to download the latest version, or the latest & the previous version, select whichever suits your situation.

  5. On the next window, select "Yes, Continue".

  6. You can then verify the status of the download by going to the "SYSTEM STATUS" tab, and then selecting "Downloads".

  7. On this page, Select the "OneDrive" tab, where you can find your download and select the "Download" option.

Important Mentions

Below are some important things to note when it comes to downloading the OneDrive content.

  • If ever you need to reach out to support in regards to a download that did not work properly, it is important to make sure you have the Download ID for that specific download.
    • The Download ID can be found on the download itself on the system status page.
